Our Story
Great moments are born from great opportunity… the opportunity to attend a hockey game in the desert years before the Vegas Golden Knights came to town. Rachel, who was living in Oregon at the time, flew to Las Vegas to attend Frozen Fury XVII with her mom, who happened to work with Brennan’s mom. If you know Brennan even the slightest, you know he doesn’t miss a hockey game. Thanks to their moms (kudos Mary & Pam), Rachel and Brennan both had VIP Experience tickets to Frozen Fury and ended up one row apart. A few periods later, they exchanged numbers and Rachel was on a flight back to Oregon. And for those of you wondering, LA beat Colorado 4-0.
Wayne Gretzky once said, “you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” So, following in the great one’s footsteps, Brennan started texting Rachel questions, knowing the best way to get a response is to ask a question. Over the next few months and tons of questions, Rachel and Brennan became friends. Rachel eventually landed a job in Las Vegas and moved in with her mom to get settled. Leaving all of her friends behind in Oregon, she called upon her new friend Brennan to take her out on the town. Somehow, the first night hanging out, she ended up on a boat at the Hoover Dam, talking and listening to music until 3 am with Brennan, completely ignoring everything Criminal Minds had taught her. After they spent the next few months going to new restaurants, shows, karaoke, sporting events and binge watching Alaska State Troopers, Brennan finally tricked her in to holding his hand and securing that first kiss at the Cirque Du Soleil Beatles Love show. Brennan was so determined to keep Rachel that he did what every smart man trying to seal the deal would do and bought her a Yellow Labrador puppy. Some might say that this officially made them boyfriend and girlfriend and as the saying goes, the rest is history.
